This is my place to express creativity. |

This is a bit of a rant. So feel free to skip this post.
It pisses me off when corporations take something completely neutral, like the “peace” sign, and turn it into a slogan for their product. The peace sign is one of my favorite hand gestures. It signifies something that always has been, and always will be beautiful. Peace on earth. Now I cringe at the thought of a child being raised with the idea that ☮ is a slogan used by an international oil company and nothing more.
I’d much rather see a Shell commerical with Jesus or Mohammad driving an F-150 through a construction site, fueled by Shell. At least that is not completely and entirely neautral. Maybe that’s why they used it, because the peace sign is one of the few things left in this world untarnished and beautiful. I could shake my fist in the air and yell “Damn you Shell!”

Or maybe I’ll just burn one down with Mr. Harper, which I recommend you do as well.
